White Dwarf Books was formed as a collective effort from staff and customers, with an aim to ensure the uninterrupted supply of the best and latest science fiction and fantasy novels from around the world. Along with the ability to locate and purchase even rare out of print books, we also aim to connect the whole science fiction and fantasy community in Western Australia, so that people with similar hobbies can find each other. As this is a continually changing process, we appreciate whatever feedback/advice you may have to offer, so feel free to send in suggestions on what books you would like to see on the shelves, clubs you would like set up, services that would be useful, etc.
Our other objectives consist of supporting local authors and artists, helping to promote local talent in both fields. It is very difficult for Western Australians to gain the exposure necessary to become successful, so we would like to help by holding regular competitions and sponsoring the best of our local people.
But not to worry, our primary objective is still to stock as complete and varied a collection of science fiction and fantasy books as has ever been seen in Western Australia! Our eventual bookshop site is four times the size of our temporary location, and will supply adequate shelf space to achieve this aim.
